Klimer Štirn & Co. d.n.o. is a privately owned Slovenian company specializing in cleanroom qualification, validation, certification, contamination control, and calibration services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, and high-tech industries.
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Domžale, Slovenia, the company has grown into one of the leading providers of cleanroom testing and validation services in the region. Today, Klimer employs a highly qualified multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists dedicated to ensuring compliance with international regulatory and technical requirements.
The company is led by Sašo Štirn, Managing Director and one of the pioneers of cleanroom testing in Slovenia, with more than 35 years of experience in HVAC systems, cleanroom technology, and contamination control. Nataša Štirn, M.Sc., serves as Business Director and co-owner of the company. She is an internationally recognized expert in GMP compliance, contamination control, and cleanroom technology, actively contributing to international standardization and professional development initiatives.
Klimer supports pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers throughout the entire lifecycle of controlled environments, including design review, qualification, validation, cleanroom certification, HVAC performance testing, HEPA filter integrity testing, environmental monitoring, calibration, and contamination control strategy implementation in accordance with EU GMP Annex 1 and ISO 14644 requirements.
The company actively contributes to the development of the profession through its involvement in international organizations and professional networks. Klimer is closely associated with the Slovenian Cleanroom Society (SCS), a member of ICCCS (International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies). Nataša Štirn represents Slovenia in ISO/TC 209 Cleanrooms and Associated Controlled Environments and participates in international working groups responsible for the development of cleanroom standards.
Continuous investment in people, knowledge, and international competence development is one of the company’s core values. Today, the entire active technical team holds internationally recognized cleanroom certifications, including CTCB-I and Cleanroom Pass, demonstrating a commitment to the highest professional standards in cleanroom testing, qualification, and contamination control.
For nearly 25 years, Klimer has been supporting some of the most demanding pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects in Central Europe, helping customers achieve compliance, operational excellence, and patient safety through scientifically based contamination control and cleanroom performance assurance.
